Feeling real is more than existing; it is finding a way to exist as oneself... and to have a self into which to retreat for relaxation.

About ME

I was always a seeker, when I turned 30 my life turned upside down. Little did I know that this was the start of my midlife crises. As I experimented with various approaches over a decade (from psychotherapy to coaching, shamanism, healing modalities and various body-based approaches) I realized that I was living a dysfunctional, shallow and deeply unsatisfactory life. I was seeking depth, not realizing how fake I was. I was conflicted - my beliefs and my need for external approval, got in my way of living. I grew up believing I was not enough, that I was a failure and it was my task to prove life otherwise. This Sisyphean task lead to heart problems, adrenaline addiction and finally a burnout.

This longing lead me down the path of learning about trauma and first time in my life I realized there was nothing wrong with me. I was able to start unlearning old ways of being, relate to my ADHD in a compassionate way, start processing a near-death-experience and a miscarriage. This process is ongoing as I am relearning how to love, reconnect with all aspects of me and get out of the way as I trust life to take care of me. I am in regular therapy and supervision.

My approach

Safety and relationships matter most

I believe that the unconditional presence of an attuned other is at the heart of growth and healing. My approach is holistic, encompassing body, mind and spirit attuned to where you are in your process. Presence is the anchor of my being so that I can be present to what is happening in you and the space between us and navigate from here to what wants to be witnessed, acknowledged and healed. Attention is paid to language, emotions and the body to read cues of safety and threat, through a trauma-informed lens. I draw on ancient teachings of buddhism, daoism and other philosophies of life and living. Engaging both the conscious and unconscious mind through art, movement, dream work and meditation.
